Susann Wintsch (* 1967) is a curator, art critic and lecturer living in Zurich. As Executive Director of Treibsand, she curates contemporary art from Western Asia. Volumes on DVD contain art projects from the former Yugoslavia, Tehran, and Istanbul. Treibsand went online in 2016 and includes new works by artists from Palestine, Turkey, and Iran. Treibsand art exhibitions were "Longing for Persia" at Museum Rietberg in 2013-14, "Inside Tehran out" at Forum Schlossplatz, Aarau, in 2009-10, "800 meters above sea level" at Forum Schlossplatz, Aarau, in 2016 -17. Treibsand activities have been discussed to date in numerous radio and TV programs, lectures in Germany and abroad. A large exhibition with artists from Afghanistan and other international artists is planned for the 59th Venice Biennale 2021. In summer, Susann Wintsch curates art projects for an old park near Zurich. Each year, the invited artists create new site-specific works of art on the theme of nature, landscape and scientific garden. Since 2003 she teaches art theory and contemporary art at the Institute for Cultural Analysis at the Zurich University of the Arts. There, she also represents her foreign affairs department.
