“Letters to Loved Ones” video project
During wartime, letter writing was and still is the main form of communication between soldiers and their loved ones, helping to ease the pain of separation.
Letters written by women document the tragic legacy of war.
They are also an ultimate and universal way of sharing hopes and fears.
The project was created by Ulvia Akhundova writer, poet and translator, who currently works as the Head of Public Programs at Yarat Contemporary Art Centre, Baku. Ulvia received her Masters Degree in International Relations from Paris I University Pantheon-Sorbonne and graduated from Baku Film School, where she majored in script-writing.
