Meeting with Philosopher and Culturologist Rakhman Badalov

Gender roles issues will be raised at a meeting with Philosopher and Culturologist Rakhman Badalov on the example of Ernest Hemingway’s novel Fiesta. And the Sun Rises (1926).
The focus is on the nature of masculinity and femininity, patterns of behavior imposed by society and traditions. As part of the evening, there will be a reading of pieces from Rakhman Badalov’s article “Fiesta: ‘… and Bret was with them’” and the text of the playwriter Ismail Iman, echoing the article through the personal experience of communication with R. Badalov. Ismayil Iman wote this text specifically for this meeting.
Rakhman Badalov
Rakhman Badalov was born in 1937 in Baku. Doctor of Philosophy, Professor. He is the author of several books, including “The Truth and Fiction of the Heroic Epic”, “Life Together, or ‘How people came to democracy’”, “The Man from Zardob: a Documentary fantasy for cinema”, as well as more than four hundred scientific, educational and journalistic articles.
